Prajna Paramita Heart Sutra, Part 7

[Series of Master Shen-Long expounding on the Prajna Paramita (Perfection of Transcendent Wisdom) Heart Sutra]

A person like us who is unable to be disillusioned with all, we are precisely incapable of doing analysis. For instance, if you like someone or dislike someone, you need to analyze this person: does not this person’s physical body not composed of carbohydrates?

We are largely unfamiliar with this concept. If you apply scientific concepts to live your life, your life will be very pleasant. But a scientist cannot escape from one thing, which is their birth and death; he will eventually die, and even if he has studied it thoroughly, he still will not be able to control his death and rebirth. Of course, we have also heard many reports, for instance: it is believed that if you rapidly freeze the body and wait 500 to 600 years, then endow it with life, maybe they will come alive again. While this theory sounds funny, it expresses how scientists are starting and trying to resolve the problem of life and death. They do not know that solving “life and death” is a dream. It is because there is no life and death.

Do you not see we are going through life and death daily?

We get up from bed in the morning, and at that time thought arises, and then no thought exists; when we go to bed at night it is the same way, where a thought arises, then no thought exists. For 24 hours, we are go through the condition of life and death.

Why does this phenomenon exist? It is regarding matters you still unable to understand and unable to see it clearly.
